Gotta post this one, it was long and I watched it. The video below is from an organization called In Its Image and is headed by a guy named Steve Thaler, their research is in the field of artificial intelligence and possible immortality through the use of machines.
Their A.I research talked about in the video seems plausible enough and there's hints that there are inventions out there in the world already created by their research, but they're not allowed to say what they are... don't you just hate that.
Though I can't help feel that the video is for promotional purposes and is filled with ideology. Still interesting if your into the whole future robot overlords thing.
So up until a few days ago I knew the name Nikola Tesla but never actually knew what he had done, maybe it's because I didn't pay attention in school, I don't know. From the brief reading that I've done on him, I can't help but feel that if the guy wasn't screwed over so much we might be living in a totally different world.
The video is a short account of the mans work with electricity, his life and his inventions. I think I've found a new interest, Nikola Tesla.
So I'm thinking about maybe building a magnetic motor, I've been watching loads of youtube videos on the subject and through them it's plain to see what they do.

The gadget looks simple enough to make, the only problem I'm facing is I don't really understand what the hell it's for. The info I've been reading online seems to go in all kinds of directions as to how it works, what it does etc.
Right now what I think it would be used for is not to different from that of a wind turbine, the blades spin (or a wheel of magnets in this case) which spin the shaft of a generator which generates electricity. Some of what I've read points to the magnets generating the energy.
Not sure what's up, I guess I have more reading to do.
I just finished watching a bunch of videos about this stuff, mostly from the collection of a Youtube user called Holofractalist, and do you know what I saw in them... I saw an explanation for god, the soul, aliens, the beginnings of this world and the oneness of everything.
Though I've really got to separate the two fields of Metaphysics and Quantum physics, I've spent the last 20 minutes trying to move a bottle of ink using only thought alone lol.
But seriously it's some amazing stuff, I can't really explain what they're talking about but check em out, they'll hurt your brain.

Explains that observation alone changes the way electrons act, they do one thing when your not looking and they do something else when you are.
Man, how lazy is this world, even in 1978 Jack Nicholson had a Hydrogen fueled car, though I wouldn't want that much hydrogen in the boot.
Though I have learned a few things while checking the above sentence for facts, well not really. My belief until just now was that a hydrogen powered car would be completely pollution free, that they would just result in puddles on the road, but after a little research I found that it wasn't as clear cut as that.
So there's a couple ways you can go about producing hydrogen, one is toxic and the others a lot more friendly, though I get the feeling that people, big wigs or whatever feel they need to produce it in bulk to sell onto the consumer, but like that recent water power system from Genepax demonstrates, we can produce it on the go as long as we have a bottle of water handy, we can cut out the middle man and the need for bulk production of hydrogen. Sounds good to me, now just hurry up.
As an aside, I briefly read that water vapor is a major contributor to the greenhouse effect (this is what a hydrogen fueled car would emit), though they're clouds and there's not much we can do about that, my question is would a world full of hydro cars contribute to the greenhouse effect or is there something I'm missing?
Well wellington as far as I can say, though I can't say I've heard to many tap water dramas from the rest of the country, if there was, I'm sure it would have been on our national news.
The reason I say this is because I just stumbled across a blog called 365 Days Of Trash by Sustainable Dave, Sustainable Dave is saving his trash for a year and is half way through his mission. I found the idea pretty interesting and watched the video in his latest post and was pretty confused that when he tells people that he still drinks tap water "they're blown away by that." What I'm blown away by is that people will use bottled water as their main water source.
Don't get me wrong bottled water is big down here, but say ten years ago buying water would have been laughable. These days however, you buy a bottle of water before work, at lunch, on the way home from where ever and then there's a nice bottle of water waiting for ya at home.
It's ridiculous, though I am sipping on a water bottle right now, only thing is I've had it for 2 weeks and it's full of tap water.
I know water sources can't be the same across the globe, but where ever I have gone in New Zealand, tap water has been nothing but great.
Down here in Kiwi land the cost of living is getting really really bad, every thing's so much more expensive and the prices seem to going up weekly on everyday items. The government doesn't seem to have plan and wages are just not enough to live off anymore. It's the same everywhere isn't it.
Take gas out of the equation and you've got an extra 100 bucks a week to compensate for all those higher priced items.
So I guess it's time to fast track these water powered cars.
