Hospital Ghost Video

Not a lot of info with this one apart form "espectro en hospital de colombia,,
close to the morgue hospital". There's definitely a human shaped figure here, hell it even moves like a human, it also looks to be draped in something, a sheet maybe.

The problem I'm having is that if it is real, it's probably the best ghost footage ever, but there are a few things that make me think it's not real. First the camera quality, looks to be taken from a low quality video camera or even a camera phone, the problem with that is with the amount of image noise seen it's really easy to hide signs of trickery.

Another problem I have is it reminds me a lot of my How to make a fake ghost video video in that it's easy to add a transparent overlay to stable footage, but it's hard adding one to moving footage unless you have the right software, with the video below you only see the figure while the footage is stable.

Then again, they just might not have the luxury of a descent video camera and timing.

  1. I call BS on that... it goes on way too long and looks fake, especially with the figure backing up towards the end and not turning around.

The other thing that makes me think it's not legit is that they turn the camera away almost right after it's gone. They were really THAT lucky? I doubt it. I wish I spoke Spanish (if that's, indeed, Spanish they're speaking) to get the full setting of what they're talking about while they're filming.

  2. This video is most likely fake. There's NO WAY a ghost could manifest itself for that long...they're not strong enough to do that.

And near the end, it just looks like they overlayed it with someone swaying back and forth...doesn't seem like a ghost to me.

  3. Cheers for the comments Trisha Lyn Fawver and Leetah, it's nice to see some constructive criticism. Seen videos like this gain in popularity without criticism or even any details, I'd expect it to float around the internet for awhile to come, maybe not hugely popular, but interesting enough to be shared.

It's more or less the same set-up as my fake ghost video, a little more attention to detail for sure, I just hope I didn't inspire it.

  4. Notes on the quality issues.. Youtube is an unknown quantity when it comes to rendering and compression iterations. We don't know how the video was processed prior to being uploaded, and we don't exactly know what further compression or re-rendering has taken place on the far end. Therefore, analysis based on video quality is counter productive. The artifacts produced within this pipeline are too random and unsourceable for qualitative input to the analysis. Furthermore, the frame in this sample is rock-solid, indicating a camcorder mounted on an undisturbed tripod. Camera phones, in my experience, do not have tripod mounts.
