Sci-fi - The Day the Earth Stood Still

I have no idea at what age I saw The Day the Earth Stood Still, I remember watching it on a Sunday afternoon back in the days when the networks played the most random of movies for us children.

I'm sure most will recognize the clip below, for me it's the only scene I remember.

I think I'm going to have to watch the original before I watch the upcoming remake. I just hope the remake doesn't have a lame ending like "Signs" or the "War of The Worlds" remake did.
