Religious Apparitions in the News in 2008

I think we could all learn a thing or two from this collection of news footage from 2008 covering religious apparitions in things such as toast, whatever the lesson may be, I haven't got a clue, all I know is after viewing the vid something in my brains a changing.

Girl Possessed while using Ouija Board

I've used a Ouija Board once, nothing happened, though we didn't put a lot of effort into it, probably because if we had something could have happened and we'd be screwed, well that's the thought that pops up in my head every time Ouija is mentioned.

My first impression of the video below was that it looked fantastically authentic, then I read the users profile, she's a filmmaker, bunked already, so why am I posting it? well, it's top notch stuff, I love things that invoke an emotional reaction in me, which this did and not a lot of things on youtube do that for me.

EDIT: Reading through the comments on youtube it looks like the user isn't really giving to much away about the authenticity of the footage, the tone leans toward it being real, so who knows.

Ed and Lorraine Warren's Occult Museum

Well, to tell you the truth I really don't recall reading about Lorraine and the late Ed Warren, I'm sure I have, especially with my interest in the Amityville Horror, I'm just terrible with names, though give me a face and I'll give you a place, date and a retelling of the situation.

I guess with any famous paranormal investigators there's always a little controversy, seems like quite a bit with Ed and Larraine, but I won't get into that here, what I'm interested in is their Occult museum. I've always wondered where unwanted haunted objects might end up and I guess Ed and Lorraine's museum is one of those places.

Not sure if the museum is still up and running, but if anything we can all get a taste of it through the videos below and believe me there's a little bit of creepsville to be seen.

Dan Aykroyd's Crystal Head Vodka, looks expensive but, though if I ever do get some I'll probably down it while watching Ghost Busters 1 and 2.

NZ Paranormal Episode 6

This is the final episode from NZ Paranormal, hope to see them back at it sometime in the future. I've really enjoyed the series, just seeing locals doing there thing locally, it's inspiring.

In this episode you get to see how they go about encouraging ghosts to make themselves known. I've actually not seen any other videos of paranormal investigators doing it like this. There's also photos of Brad having a strange encounter which are pretty freaky.

Again, great series and I hope to see more in the future, cheers NZ Paranormal.

Woman Possessed By 3 Demons

I was sent this video through the contact form and I haven't checked if I'm allowed to share who it's from so for now they'll remain nameless, unless you want the credit?

The video is of a woman supposedly possessed by 3 demons, they say it may have been because of a curse put on her by her husbands lover, it's very distressing and graphic. I have my feelings about exorcism and possessing so I'll leave it at that and let you decide.

NZ Paranormal Episode 5

Brad and the gang over at NZ Paranormal have a new episode up on youtube where they are investigating a private residence, seems like a lot of paranormal activity. I actually leaned a lot about EMF detectors from this episode, I could never really grasp the concept seeing that there's a lot of electronics around the world, but I now understand that it's about consistency, if it comes and goes that's a little odd.

NZ Paranormal Episode 4

In this episode NZ Paranormal investigate Karori Cemetery, New Zealands second biggest burial ground. It looked to be pretty eventful.

I've been there a couple times with a couple friends, we pretty much kept completely to the main road and didn't explore as deep as NZ paranormal did. The place is huge and in the dark I'd reckon you could end up completely lost if you didn't know the layout.

Even though when I've been there we kept to the well lit road, the place still plays major tricks on the eyes, it's an amazing place but investigating it seems like a mission, NZ paranormal did a great job.

NZ Paranormal Episode 3

The folks over at NZ paranormal have been kind enough to put a new episode of their show up on Youtube, this time they were joined by Dave Clipsom of Ghost Hunters NZ. They investigated Napier Prison this time round, located in the Hawkes Bay of New Zealand, now a backpackers. There were a couple anomalies present and throughout the episode Brad Scott gives us an introduction and the low down to the equipment they use.

Pretty cool episode, I'm just about to watch episode 4, so I'll get back to y'all in the next post.

Metal Wires growing from woman's belly

Apparently this is big news in Indonesia, a kindergarten teacher from Sangatta, East Kutai named Noorsyaidah has suffered from a curious affliction for 17 odd years, she's been growing metal wires from her belly.

Apparently multiple Medical Specialists have checked her out and are stumped.

An Orange Sky at Night

So right now to me this video looks like a nice sun set. The video shows an orange sky shot at 9pm at night, what I'm wondering is at that time is it supposed to be pitch black? because I know down here in NZ with daylight savings it's still light out at that time.

If it's supposed to be dark out then this video is pretty strange.

Another episode from NZ Paranormal

Looks like NZ Paranormal is on a role, they've just added a second episode onto youtube and they look to have captured some strange stuff.

First they went to Makara, a little bay tucked away on the coast of Wellington, I'd never heard of the activity there before, though it is actually a very eerie place, some of Bad Taste was filmed there.

The second spot they checked out was an old WW2 bunker, there's a load of these scattered around Wellington, but I've never been to any of the big ones, even the little ones are creepy.

Nz Paranormal Episode 1

I just discovered a little gem located right in my backyard, they call themselves NZ Paranormal and they're a no profit paranormal investigation team headed by Brad Scott. What's got me excited is it looks like they're independently producing a T.V series that will air on Triangle Television a regional T.V network here in NZ. For me it'll be cool just to see some of the local haunts.

They have a preview episode on youtube that you can watch below. They're investigating a building located in Johnsonville, Wellington. Funny thing is I was there just 2 weeks ago.

I sure hope they keep up the candid style and steer clear of the Ghost Hunters/Most Haunted styling, those post ad break catch ups are really turning me off those shows, it's like 15 minutes flashy cuts, 15 minutes repeated info with 30 minutes of actual show time.

Anyway I'm looking forward to seeing what they get up to.
